The first list of rumoured LEGO Marvel 2027 sets includes one standout entry, naming a Marvel skyline that is practically bursting with potential.
One of the newly rumoured LEGO Marvel sets for January 2027 is the 1,261-piece 67006 Marvel Skyline. Compared to the rest of the rumoured set names, 67006 Marvel Skyline stands out with no named characters and a naming convention similar to 76313 Marvel Logo. It suggests a Marvel display model of some sort, and a skyline would consist of a variety of Marvel buildings.
Based on this rumoured name, there are four different directions in which such a set could go, looking at past LEGO releases. While we wait to find out more about this and the rest of the rumoured Marvel January 2027 sets, here are those options.
Wall art

When DC has just retired its Gotham City skyline wall art, a similar set for Marvel would seem like the most likely path for this rumoured Marvel skyline set. That model has a whopping 4,000 elements, though, while the Marvel model is said to have far fewer. Scaling down the DC set is certainly possible, and there's a similar build on shelves now with 1,500 pieces.

Wicked's 75685 Emerald City Wall Art is available now and is much closer in piece count to the rumoured Marvel 2027 set. It demonstrates that a licensed wall art model around this size is possible and would be an appropriate format for a skyline creation.
A LEGO postcard

Another option for the rumoured LEGO skyline set would be a colossal postcard build. LEGO Creator has several of these postcard builds available now, but they typically feature around 250 pieces. A Marvel crossover with this range would mean a drastic increase in that average piece count, but it might be too drastic a change compared to the rest of this range.
A return to Architecture
The most well-known series of skyline sets comes from LEGO Architecture. The theme's range of skyline models lasted from 2016 to 2022, with a re-release in 2025. They feature around 600 pieces each and depict iconic landmarks from cities around the world.
A Marvel addition to this collection has been proposed by several members of the online LEGO community, including MOMAtteo79. Their model features exactly 600 pieces and recreates several locations from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This proof of concept demonstrates that the Architecture design works well for a Marvel skyline, but the average piece count of ths range is still far lower than that of the rumoured set.
Something more experimental

LEGO Marvel can always take inspiration from Architecture in another form early next year. The theme's latest release is 21066 New York City – The Big Apple. This 1,465-piece creation depicts the skyline of New York in a more abstract format.
A Marvel version wouldn't need to be quite as abstract or feature a giant apple in the background. The piece count of 1,465 is much closer to the 1,261 elements rumoured for the 2027 set, though.
We'll have to wait and see what form, if any, 67006 Marvel Skyline takes when it is claimed to be released next January. Take this rumour with caution until an official announcement is made.
